Carrots keep the heart healthy. The Organic Facts stated that it also reduces cholesterol and prevents further heart issues.  The Wolfson Gastrointestinal Laboratory from Scotland said that 7 oz carrots per day is reducing cholesterol by 11%. Another Italian study claimed that those that eat carrots have less risks of heart attack.

Also, potassium makes blood flow better and improves oxygenation in the body and better nutrition. It reduces high pressure and prevents enlarging of the heart.

The recipe:

Carrots with honey and lemon – this is maybe the best one of all recipes. Eating Well claimed this includes 2 cups carrots, shredded celery roots, ¼ cup golden raisins, ¼ cup walnuts chopped, 2 tbsp walnut oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp honey, shallot, salt and pepper.

To make this, mix lemon, salt, pepper, oil, honey and shallot. Then add the raisins, carrots, walnut and celery.

Overall the carrots are healthy for the whole body, not just the eyes. Add them to many meals and dishes and be healthy!
