Also further, carrots were the secret of the British Royal Air force in the WWII. They had a campaign that said their pilots had great eyesight due to carrots. It is a rumor, but still it is good somewhat.
Carrots keep the heart healthy. The Organic Facts stated that it also reduces cholesterol and prevents further heart issues. The Wolfson Gastrointestinal Laboratory from Scotland said that 7 oz carrots per day is reducing cholesterol by 11%. Another Italian study claimed that those that eat carrots have less risks of heart attack.
The pressure related issues are also prevented by this. Organic Facts stated that carrots have potassium which is vasodilator or widener of the blood vessels. Also, potassium makes blood flow better and improves oxygenation in the body and better nutrition. It reduces high pressure and prevents enlarging of the heart.
Carrots with honey and lemon – this is maybe the best one of all recipes. Eating Well claimed this includes 2 cups carrots, shredded celery roots, ¼ cup golden raisins, ¼ cup walnuts chopped, 2 tbsp walnut oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp honey, shallot, salt and pepper.
